The preamp tube makes a discernible difference.  Much better when going through it.

I tried it both ways :bobwink

I recently bought Hotel California from iTunes - from the Hell freezes over album. (live) Love it on my new AKG's

Yard sale season is starting up. Great place to find vinyl!
Usually a couple bucks an album, people don't see value in them anymore.

Now that I am listening to Vinyl i now recall why the felt out of favor. once you have a record on is a full commitment to listen to the entire thing, rather than having a list of your favorite iTunes or MP3 files playing .  Unless you hire a personal DJ lol

But it is cool and I think it turned my theater room into a music room.  Which now serves two purposes.  I  will keep my eyes out for those yard sales.  Vinyl is not cheap.

That is part of the beauty of album listening, you might never have learned to enjoy some of those tracks. You discover them by listening to the whole thing. Until you have to get up and turn it over of course. LOL :bigL

Listen to the Moody Blues album Days of future past, has to be listened WHOLE as each song in order is a part of the day. Great album and idea. Some fantastic songs too. Who doesn't know Nights in White Satin?
